Accurate video motion analysis with ProAnalyst relies on the ability to mathematically model the real-world test environment; this is a process we call, "scene calibration". While there are many ways to calibrate a scene, ProAnalyst does so with a special technique that models the camera(s) with just one snapshot (per camera), providing an accurate foundation for measuring motion data in both 2-D and 3-D analyses.

This free technical webinar will consist of a brief overview ProAnalyst 2023, an explanation of the techniques ProAnalyst uses to model the camera for accurate scene calibration, and some real-world example videos analyzed in ProAnalyst.

Topics covered will include:

  • The role of scene calibration in video motion analysis
  • Correcting lens distortion with a standard checkerboard image
  • Single-snapshot scene calibration for planar (2-D) analysis
  • Single-snapshot intrinsic/extrinsic camera modeling for volumetric (3-D) analysis

The webinar will last approximately 1 hour, with time for questions at the end. All are welcome, from new users to industry professionals, from researchers to university students, and everyone in between.
