Wednesday, February 26, 2025 @ 16:00 UTCParticle Tracking is the process of detecting and characterizing small objects in video. Unlike features, particles are detected in bulk; particle tracking casts a wide net to find any and all matches for user-set search parameters, like max/min size, angle, and eccentricity. With these particles detected, ProAnalyst can then identify those particles that persist across multiples frames in a process called "correspondence."
This free technical webinar will consist of a brief overview ProAnalyst 2023, a discussion about particle characterization and correspondence, and some real-world example videos analyzed in ProAnalyst.
Topics covered will include:
- An overview of particles and their role in 2-D video motion analysis
- An in-depth discussion about particle tracking search parameters
- Real-world examples of 2-D particle tracking/characterization
- Using particle correspondence to map trajectories through video
The webinar will last approximately 1 hour, with time for questions at the end. All are welcome, from new users to industry professionals, from researchers to university students, and everyone in between.
