Overview
Designed with 3‑D in mindOnce time-consuming and mathematically involved, 3‑D calibration has become the easiest part of 3‑D analysis thanks to ProAnalyst 2023 and the Xcitex 3‑D calibration fixtures.
The Xcitex 3‑d calibration fixture sports a grid of dots known as "control points;" the 3‑D positions of these points are stored in an associated "fixture file" that comes with the fixture.
The layout of these control points makes our fixtures ideal for stereo camera setups. Note: we use "stereo" to refer to 2-camera configurations where the separation angle between the cameras is less than 90°.
The Calibration Process
Easily calibrate stereo camerasTo calibrate your stereo cameras, all you need is an image of the fixture taken by each camera and the 3‑D analysis toolkits inside ProAnalyst 2023.
After you perform the 3‑D calibration, ProAnalyst will have created a virtual 3‑D coordinate system for your measurement volume, complete with the 3‑D positions and orientations of the 3‑D calibration fixture and each of your cameras.
Configurations
Fixtures for all fields of researchThe Xcitex 3‑D calibration fixtures vary in both size and material to accommodate a wide range of analysis applications. The smaller, more lightweight fixtures are ideal for analyzing small subjects within limited measurement volumes, while the larger, more rugged fixtures are perfect for calibrating large volumes in uncontrolled environments.
